“Member care is doing whatever it takes, within reason, to insure that our workers feel cared for and supported by their agency and church, that they have the resources they need to work effectively, and to care well for themselves and their family. It is comprehensive - the ongoing preparation, equipping and empowering of missionaries for effective and sustainable life, ministry and work."

Why we do Member Care
Our workers need to feel cared for and supported every step of the way as they give themselves to service in the field. Member Care seeks to help them to prepare well before they come to us and then to continue to encourage a growing and nurturing environment that will ensure their utmost EFFECTIVENESS as missionaries.
We seek to provide good support structures as they work in teams, giving guidance for ongoing personal growth. Emphasis is also given to guidance in building good relational and support structures with home churches and supporters which will foster ongoing longevity of service.
We will be the first to say that Member Care is still quite new to us as a mission and we are seeking to grow our care teams through training, consultations and on-site mentoring so that we can cover the world of YWAM with people who prioritize care for the missionaries themselves.
